Part-time Contract Positions

KUDOS is looking for creative and motivated individuals to share their talents and experience.  Jobs may last a few weeks to a full season.  We are looking to fill needs in specific areas described here.

If you are interested and qualified for any of the descriptions, please send resume and cover letter by email with the subject line: “Contract Position”.  Please indicate the position(s) that most closely aligns with your experience and describe your teaching experience with children and youth and background in youth performing arts, Word or PDF format.  Please note that due to nature of business, TB and fingerprint clearances will be required at the applicant’s expense.

 No phone calls please.  Resumes will be reviewed and interviews will be set up for selected individuals.  Portfolio of your past work will be requested at interviews.

We are always looking for individuals to join our theatre family:

Technical Positions

Technical Staff needed with previous experience in technical theatre fields including sound, lighting, set design and carpentry.  May work a few events a year that can last a few days or 4-6 weeks.

 Costumers

Applicants must be able to build or acquire all costumes for a production.  Must be able to use a sewing machine and should have costume construction experience.  Flexible hours.  Can do most work from home.  Costumer is needed per production. Work may last 4-6 weeks.

 Teaching Artists

Individuals needed to lead workshops in the creative and performance arts including movement, vocal coaching, music and acting. Classes should be held after school, evenings and on weekends, however, the scheduling of classes is flexible. Classes typically meet once a week for an hour over several weeks.

 Scenic Artist

Artists needed to paint all aspects for a set design. Possible jobs include murals for backdrops, set pieces and stage floor. Scenic Artist is needed per production.  Hours are flexible and usually when the theatre is not holding classes.

 Production Teams

Interested in working with children and youth as a Director, Choreographer, Musical Director and Technical Director?  These positions work with the children and youth during class hours developing a production to perform at KUDOS Theatre.  Must be organized and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Scope of work is per production and can last up to 6 weeks.
